HARITSONS Group has been actively involved for the last 5 decades in mining and processing of minerals such as IRON ORE, GEMSTONES, BENTONITE, DIATOMACEOUS EARTH, MULTANI MITTI, and various other minerals, both in India as well as Southern Africa.
Now, HARITSONS group is poised to become the largest player in Diatomaceous Earth production in Rajasthan. For this purpose, it has established large infrastructure in the Barmer district of Rajasthan, which is the Diatomaceous Earth hub.
HARITSONS has an in-house engineering R & D division and has also designed, manufactured, and exported specialized equipment for gemstone and diamond exploration, mining, and beneficiation. The customers have included United Nations Development Project (UNDP), Diamond Exploration divisions of Reliance, Jindal, National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., Geological Survey of India, Kagem Mining Limited (Zambia), and others.
It was the year 1991 when Mr. Vinod Haritwal, Director of HARITSONS saw for the first time large scale mine of Diatomaceous Earth at New South Wales in Australia. He was a non-technical student for a special diploma in Gemstone Mining at the Key Centre for Mines at School of Mines, University of New South Wales. It was then that he decided to develop the Siliceous Earth mines under HARITSONS group in Rajasthan.
After returning from Gemstone mining field, Mr. Vinod again rekindled his dream of developing Diatomaceous Earth mining and finding new avenues to use the same and a number of mining leases of Diatomaceous Earth have been acquired by HARITSONS. With the experience and expertise in gemstone mining and mineral processing technology, the same technological systems and quality parameters have been used in mining of Diatomaceous Earth, thus HARITSONS have been able to produce the best quality of DE in India.
However, there was something else in the fate. He was looking after Gem Corporation of Orissa Ltd., as the Managing Director doing Ruby mining in Orissa and in 1993 went to Zambia as a Director of Kagem Mining Limited, world’s largest Emerald mine, a Joint Venture with Government of Zambia. Since then and up to 2008 he was involved in gemstone mining in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Madagascar in Southern Africa. So the Diatomaceous Earth project went on the back-burner.
HARITSONS group has 4 mining leases for Diatomaceous Earth in the Barmer and Jaisalmer Districts of Rajasthan.
1. HARITSONS has four mining leases for Diatomaceous Earth in Western Rajasthan.
2. Environmental Clearance at present is above 60,000 tons per annum, and can be further increased with demand.
3. All the Mining Plans are up to date.
4. Pollution Control Board approvals are all in place.

BARIYADA: HARITSONS has three mining leases near Bariyada village in Barmer district of Rajasthan. The mining lease areas are very close (less than a kilometer) from the National Highway No. 68 from Jaisalmer to Barmer. 68
SAJIT: HARITSONS has one mining lease near village Sajit in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. The mining lease area is about 25 kilometers on rural road from National Highway No. 68 from Jaisalmer to Barmer

HARITSONS’ Diatomaceous Earth factory land is the largest of any Diatomaceous Earth factory in Rajasthan. The land is nearly 17 acres and has been fully converted to Industrial Land. So there is a big scope for expansion of our industry.
The factory shed of HARITSONS Diatomaceous Earth Factory is of international standards and also the largest and most modern compared to any other Diatomaceous Earth factories in Barmer.

SPECIALISED PRODUCTS FOR TARGET INDUSTRIES:
HARITSONS make special DE granules for use as plant growth medium. These absorbent granules are lightweight and are made into different sizes for use in lawn, playing arena, gardens, potted plants, hydroponics, green wall, etc.
HARITSONS make special DE powder BUGNO DE for elimination of bed bugs. This is totally natural powder made with selected raw material which is very effective in slowly but surely killing bed bugs, without harming human beings. BUGNO DE does not give any smell so there is no discomfort for the people living in the room.
HARITSONS make special granules and coarse powder for absorption of oil spills on workshop floors, garages, roads and pathways, etc. This material absorbs oil up to 95% of its weight. It is natural and environment friendly.
When you need to shine up your silver articles or brass utensils or metal statues without use of chemical polish, use HARITSONS Dry Metal Polish Powder. It is without any chemical and can be used on any dining utensils also, as per instructions.
There are many paints that need extenders or matting agents. HARITSONS make special extender and matting grade Diatomaceous Earth powder for use in dry paints as extenders and other paints as matting agents.
HARITSONS make special DE powder ORGANO DE for elimination of flying insects that destroy plants. This is a superfine powder that can be mixed with water and sprayed on the plants. This will eliminate the larva, eggs, and the flying pests etc. that feed on the plant leaves. This is totally natural powder and can be very well used in organic farming.
Animal Feed has inherent moisture which may result in fungus, mold or rotting of the feed. There is need for an additive that reduces these problems. HARITSONS Animal Feed Grade Diatomaceous Earth reduces this problem. As crystalline silica is not good for ingestion by the animals, the purity of Diatomaceous Earth is very important, which is ensured by HARITSONS Diatomaceous Earth.
Due to residual moisture in manufacture of fertilizer granules, washing powder or other such products, there is caking or formation of lumps in the packaged items. HARITSONS make Diatomaceous Earth powders of different grades for use as Anti Caking Agents for removal of this difficulty.
HARITSONS Diatomaceous Earth powders are made from super selected grades of DE. This ensures that there is very good absorption of all types of liquids in the powder. HARITSONS DE powder is suitable carrier for all types of pesticides and insecticides – whether organic or inorganic, synthetic or natural. It absorbs up to 95% of its weight in oil and other liquids.
HARITSONS Diatomaceous Earth can be used in defluorinating of phosphoric acid.
Diatomaceous Earth is known as a semi heat insulation material with melting point at 1600 ° C. HARITSONS make special refractory grade coarse powder and fine granules of Diatomaceous Earth to be used as the outside insulation material for furnace and kiln.
HARITSONS Cat Litter is made with natural Diatomaceous Earth granules in natural shape, without any additive or perfume. This material is fully natural and comes in various sizes.
Diatomaceous Earth is known to impart slow release silica to agricultural land. HARITSONS Silicon Granules are made in natural shape without any additive or adhesive. These natural granules do not break easily or carried away with irrigation water. On the other hand, rounded granules made with powder and adhesive break easily and the powder is carried away with irrigation water.
There are certain products, which require addition of Diatomaceous Earth which should be Food Grade. HARITSONS make special Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth which has all the parameters within acceptable limits. Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth should not have any Asbestos, E Coli or other Bacteria, Heavy Metals, etc. beyond the acceptable limit. HARITSONS Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth ensures that these limits are not crossed. However, Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth should not be eaten directly, without medical supervision. It is not a food as such and FSSAI does not have any code number for the same.
HARITSONS Super Quality Diatomaceous Earth is made suitable for use as an additive in cosmetics and as face mask. It is made free from bacteria and other harmful material by a special process.
Diatomaceous earth or Diatomite is also called Kieselgurh or Kieselgur in German. If you have any requirement of Kieselgurh, our Diatomaceous Earth is equivalent to Kieselgurh.
